Along is named a 2022 best tool for back to school by Common Sense Education

With the back to school season upon us, we know that educators have a lot on their plates. They look to trusted, independent sources to get advice about technology and other tools to use in the classroom.

That’s why we’re so excited to share that Along has been named a 2022 ‘Best Tool for Back to School’ by Common Sense Education. Along is among the five tools for emotional wellbeing highlighted in Common Sense Education’s list.

We created Along—a first-of-its-kind teacher student connection builder—so that educators could more easily prioritize teacher-student connections. When students and teachers start to form real relationships and see each other as individuals, this helps to drive students’ sense of belonging and wellbeing and they just show up differently to class.

Educators face many complexities in the classroom, and we know it can be difficult to find the time and resources to devote to non-academic outcomes and to prioritize time for making meaningful connections with students. Along was purpose-built to overcome these barriers, offering a fast and easy solution to start fostering authentic connections on day one. And, Along will always be free for educators.

If you haven’t explored Along yet, check out Along.org to create your own free account. Explore our many research-informed reflection questions to get started. Educators can record their own response, send it to their students, and then their students can answer back using text, audio, or video. All the responses are direct from teacher to student, which eliminates any peer pressure.
