Along is #winning this year

School may be out for the summer, but here at Along, we’re taking a beat to reflect on the past year and celebrate! That’s because this has been a stellar year of accolades for Along, signifying that we’re making an impact in classrooms by offering an easy way to authentically connect teachers and students. 

Here are some of the honors we received so far:

Common Sense Education

We kicked off the 2022-2023 school year with recognition from Common Sense Education. This trusted, independent source for educators named Along a 2022 “Best Tool for Back to School.”

iKeepSafe

Next, Along earned the iKeepSafe FERPA and COPPA privacy badges. These important certifications highlight our ongoing commitment to keeping student information safe, secure, and private. 

TIME

We kicked off the holiday season with our selection as a “Special Mention” on the Best Inventions of 2022 list by TIME. The accolade put Along in an elite group of products, software, and services that are solving compelling problems in creative ways. 

Cult of Pedagogy

As teachers and students were starting the second semester, Along was named one of “6 Ed Tech Tools to Try in 2023” by Cult of Pedagogy. Education influencer Jennifer Gonzalez noted that Along “makes it easier to build relationships with our students and maintain regular contact with them.” 

Fast Company

The accolade train just keeps going for Along! Just last month, we were honored as a World Changing Idea finalist by Fast Company. We agree that solving the teacher-connection gap is world changing—and it puts us in the company of the world’s most inventive entrepreneurs and forward-thinking companies that are tackling global challenges. 

CODiE Award

And finally, Along was recently named a finalist for a CODiE Award for Best Student Experience. The CODiE Awards, which have been sponsored by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIAA) for more than 25 years, honor excellence in education technology.
